Back to the Music Blog
It's been a long time since I wrote anything here. Life has a way of interfering with art. But they say life imitates art. So WTF. Music has been very berry good to me. And me to it. The best part is that wherever I go I take my music with me.
So what does this really mean? It means that I want to continue creating songs.
AS for the gigs. They will return in time but for now I am focusing on making real money. Why do most musicians get paid like shit?

Joel, where have you gone? No posts in 2+ years... Too bad. Anyway, I see you have an African link in your heading. As an African music and Chicago music fan, maybe you'd be up for Chicago Afrobeat Project this Friday night (1/11/08) at the House of Blues. The group is billing it as Hip hop meets afrobeat, and they'll be featuring emcees from the "All Natural Crew" as well as breakdancing from the Chicago Brickheadz. If that isn't enough, the group's regular show consists of African dancers, live art from budding Chicago artist Chadwick, and some drumming from master talking drummer TJ Okulnola from Lagos Nigeria. Check it out.
